Miss Me??? lol I can just hear Robynn's chuckle......

Thought I'd let you know what has been happening....
Brian,Brady,Hailey,Tanner,Mum-Mum, Papa and the Harker family headed to Punta Mita to stay with Uncle Matt & Aunt Erin. The weather was AMAZING and they enjoyed white sand, crystal blue water, kayaking, zip lining, yachting, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, lounging by the pool and their favorite hang out,"El Dorado" right on the water. As usual, it was a trip to never forget! I guess, that's true for them....Cal and I were left behind so she could finish her summer school class, so we have a different take;)
Brady just finished football and soccer will be starting soon as Brian just finished his "coaches training" on Saturday. We got to keep Hailey and take her out to Izumo's where they cook in front of you and light onion volcano's on fire! She also got to go see Ramona and Beezas with Cal and Meg. Brady has been having a blast with Mimi, Enni and Uncle Derek in Roseville and think he would have lobbied to stay longer if he didn't have a date tomorrow to watch the Angels play the Red Sox. Tanner and Brady will be cheering on Boston much to others dismay!hehe

I have been getting ready to launch St francis 1st Grief Share and will be meeting with Father Craig on Thursday to figure out ALL the details as there are tons and tons! I am Terrified beyond words but will trust in Him, as I know he is leading me. Please pray that I am able to use my devastating losses in order to serve others and lead them towards the grace of God and healing. I know that I continue to heal and as soon as I feel I am on solid ground, a mighty tremble erupts and I am shaken. I know this is the journey of grief, but pray that I STAND in the face of this adversity.

Please continue to pray for Miss Denise and Baby Tate(he is just a little miracle) and I am thrilled to see his continued progress. I would also ask that you pray for my friend Barbara. She has been fighting pancreatic cancer since Sept 2008. It has now reappeard in her liver and spread to multiple organs. She has 2 teenage boys Jimmy and Matt and a wonderful husband Jason. I am honored to call her sister Joan one of my oldest and dearest friends and as we returned from the lake together yesterday, Joan got a call telling her Barb was in the ER in horrific pain and with a terrible colon infection that would cease her radiation and chemo treatment until it was under control. As we know with Robynn, when we give the cancer any time off, it wreaks havoc. Please pray that God lay his healing hands on Barb and ask Him to give her comfort and peace and to feel His Almighty presence.

Prayer Requests from Miss Denise:)

What a remarkable way to serve....WAY TO GO MISS DENISE!
Here is what she wrote me.....

Hi there my dear friend,
I am coming to you with a prayer request.
My 2 daughters and myself are a part of a missions team heading to
Nicaragua on the 28th of June and returning July 10th.
I wanted you to put a post up on our blog so that our wonderful Army
Goodell can be praying for the mission and that God's word and love can
be shared to those dear people.
We will be building onto a church, having Vacation Bible Schools, women's
ministry(I will be focused on that part to help the ladies learn crafts
to sell to help support themselves.
We will be going and staying near an orphanage that my girls and husband
went to 5 yrs. ago and the girls are soooo hoping to see some of the same
kids that were so special to them.
I thank you so much in advance for all of your help, love and support.

Also my friend Julie Martin is struggling with the chemo and her cancer
will grow out of control without it.She has out lived the odds by 1 and a
half years. God has made her a miracle to all of us and has continued to
use her mightily and her life a living testimony of his LOVE.Please lift
her up in deep prayer.....I call upon the Army who is so mighty with
prayer.I am so saddened when I think of all that Robynn had or choose to
endure the same as Julie.

I hope you and the kids are well and my friends Brian and my sweet
kiddos.

I love you all,
Praying always in hope and in love,Miss Denise

Prayers for Gary!!!

I received this email this morning and was compelled to not just ask for your prayers but let Gary know that Army Goodell is praying for him.
Directly below is what I received from Dr. Norman Wright and below that, is my response....

The main reason for contacting you is a prayer request. As many of you know on Easter weekend I was in Arkansas participating in one of my best friend’s wedding, Dr. Gary Oliver. I had the privilege of performing his first wedding 28 years ago. Gary and I lost our first wives to cancer within two months of one another so he and I walked through the grief journey together. Just a month following his marriage in April, Gary underwent a ten hour surgery for cancer of the tongue. The cancer was stage one but because of previous radiation this same procedure could not be used. Thus a large portion of his tongue had to be removed. Tissue was taken from his thigh which included blood vessels and nerves and attached to his tongue. Gary will need to learn to talk again. Please pray with us that his recovery will be complete so that God will use Gary for many more years. Gary’s life has been built on his speaking and teaching all over the world including several years with Promise Keepers.
If you feel so led to send him a word of encouragement or prayer, his email is lindaellenoliver@gmail.com
or you can send a card or note to:
Gary and Linda Oliver c/o Dr. and Mrs. Ehab Hanna, 3703 Maroneal, Houston, TX 77025.

Dear Gary,

You do not know me and I only know of you because of the great stories Norm Wright delightfully relays in his seminars.
Whenever I hear him talk of you, I can feel his deep admiration and love for you.
Because of this love and how much he values you, your friendship, and your talent that has touched so many lives, he has asked for our prayers for you.

I cared for my 34 year old sister in-law while she fought angiosarcoma in 2008. While in the hospital I would type her progress or setbacks and the goofy things we did trying to keep our spirits up on a blog my brother had created. I had never been spiritual, just a christian and here I was attaching verses that seemed relevant to Robynn's circumstance. It started out as a way to inform our family and friends, but quickly took on a whole life of it's own. Robynn had people praying for her all over the nation and even in Europe. Unbelievers who had never met Robynn, became believers and joined our fearsome group of prayer warriors known as,"Army Goodell". In the midst of Robynn's battle my Aunt & Uncle were randomly murdered in their home by two teenagers and my best friend Kelly of over 25 years died suddenly. A month after we lost Kelly, Robynn passed leaving behind two 6 year olds and two 8 years olds between the two young moms. It was so much to handle within 5 months and most of it seems to be heavily blurred.

What is not blurred was the incredible amount of support and prayer that came from perfect strangers. They were compelled to reach out to a family that had changed their lives, though they had never met. We did not set out to change anyone, but the Lord had other plans. He used Robynn's story of strength, grace, love and faith to bring others to Him. I have always known that Robynn was chosen very carefully by God, as another would not have had the same affect on others. I am still astounded by all the good that has come from our losses, it is just undeniably inspiring!

Army Goodell prayed mightily during Robynn's battle. Since her death in Dec 2008, I have continued to use her blog to let people know how my brother Brian, Brady(now 10) and Hailey(now 8) are doing as well as any prayer requests that our loyal followers have.
I just wanted you to know I am Praying for YOU!
I don't have an "in" with God, I'm just a mom who is praying for you!
In addition to my prayers, I will enlist Robynn's Army that has prayed and witnessed many miracles because of their efforts and I will now ask that they hold you up in prayer.
We will pray that your health be restored and that your gift of touching and teaching others as a Servant of the Lord be quickly reestablished.

May God Continue His Blessings to You,

Shelley Goodell

Peter Pan Visited MAX @ UCSF!:D

http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/video?id=7436545

Max is still struggling with on and off again fevers. His feeding tube was removed, but he is not meeting their intake requirements on his own. He has fluid in and around his lungs, so they will do a procedure to test to see what the fluid contains. He has a long road and him, his Mom Tracy, Dad Michael and sister Shelby are still in desperate need of your prayers!

Baby Tait seems to be thriving right now and I couldn't be more thrilled! Please pray for his continued progress! He is such a blessing!!!

Prayer Request

I just received this from Tracy Randall....

Another friend from high school and a friend of Robynn's died on Sunday morning after being hit by a minivan while on a bike ride in Sacramento. Scott Irwin was a great guy and a god loving man with a beautiful young family whose life was cut short in an instant on Sunday morning. Please pray for his wife Michelle and their two kids along with his many friends and other family members as we all deal with this loss.

Please continue prayers for Tait as this is the latest entry about him;

Scott and Amy need our prayers to make a decision about Tait's care. The Drs. think it would be a good idea to give him steroids to improve his lungs. His settings on the ventilator are not decreasing. The steroids can possibly cause severe side affects. Obviously this is an extremely difficult decision. Please pray for them for peace and wisdom to know what to do.

Max continues to struggle and is not making much progress in recovering. He has continued to maintain a fever even after the surgery to to clean up the infection. They are fearful that his body might be rejecting the "hardware" that was placed along Max's spine. He still has a feeding tube, is heavily sedated and his Nutropenia levels are still low. The milestones required to be released are coming at an extremely slow rate. His family was also informed that when he did go home, he would have a PICC line and receive antibiotics for another 6 months since they believe he is still fighting an infection.
When he is released, I will travel to San Bruno to give his family some help and hopefully a little down time;)

BIG Prayers for MAX MOLINI!!!!!!

They went in yesterday and found that the infection was VERY advanced. After opening him up, they cleaned it up the best they could and now he will be on IV antibiotics for 10 days. A feeding tube has become necessary to provide nutrition and he is NOT happy. He is grabbing and pulling at any and everything in his grasp, so they have wrapped his hands like "a boxer" as Shelby put it.
The thought of his MOST INCREDIBLE smile being modified by pain is most distressing! If you only knew the JOY he has brought in his 16 years, with the fewest of words, and the most transforming spirit, you have NOT LIVED!!!!!

Updates on Max & Tait

Max is really struggling with pain. Please pray that he feels God's Mercy and his comfort is increased.

Tait is improving and they are going to start him on some breast milk and they will continue to ease off on the ventilator. Amy & Scott seems pleased with his progress and thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.

HAILEY RAE will be making her 1st Communion this Sunday. Please send your blessings her way on this VERY special day!
I have been staying at my parents house while they are away to enjoy some much needed R&R. Staying here is more helpful to Brian and allows him to drop them off in the morning on his way to school. I get them fed and do Hailey's hair and then whisk them off to school. Later, today Cal & I are going to play around with curling Hailey's hair for the perfect "do" for Sunday! Wish us luck!!!!
Brady is really enjoying flag football on Saturdays and we all love cheering him on while Brian coaches!

Max & Tait Still Need Our Prayers!

Our sweet, sweet Max endured over 9 hours of surgery today. Max's sister Shelby said it went as well as possible and when she saw him, he was sleeping peacefully in recovery. They have a speedy plan to get him ambulatory and out of the hospital so that they don't risk infection. He has such a HUGE road ahead of him, so please keep him on the forefront of your prayers!!!

As far as baby Tait, here is the latest;

Brad (Papa) and I (Tait and Jonah's Nana) just returned from staying with Scott and Amy for 2 days at Ronald McDonald house. What a wonderful gift for families who have children in the hospital. They keep the expenses down for these families, and have a kitchen and large rooms to accommodate them during their stay. It is right across the street from Children's hospital where Tait will be for quite a while. He is now recovering from his kidneys being removed and is on dialysis and sleeping soundly with meds to help him be free of pain. This is a hard week and they have been through this before with Jonah. He is getting use to the dialysis and still has the ventilator until maybe sometime next week. We will pray that this can come out then and he will be freely breathing on his own. Scott and Amy need our prayers for strength, energy and patience while this process of healing unfolds. They are strong and trusting God for their baby boy's health. He is so very cute and I can't wait until they can hold him again soon. Thank you to all of our family, friends and prayer partners. Nancy

Army Goodell, you have ALL witnessed the power of prayer! Continue on, with great perseverance, for He is SO GOOD!!!!

Love to ALL my WARRIORS!!!!

Baby Jonah's Brother Tait Needs Our Prayers

Here is what was on his his blog....
Scott and Amy saw the specialists today and the Drs. have decided to remove both kidneys because they are growing and need to come out. They will put a pd catheter in soon after, and because Tait is pretty healthy they think this will work out fine for the dialysis. The surgery will be 2 plus hours, and they have decided to do it tomorrow morning. Scott and Amy expected this because of their experience with Jonah. They have asked for all of our prayers for a successful surgery on Friday. Taking all of this one day at a time...Let's surround this family with prayer. Thank you.

PS This thursday, Max Molini will have his surgery. Please keep him, his parents and sister Shelby in your prayers as well.

This is a poem written by a New York teenager with cancer and was sent to me by my sister-in-law Erin. She thought it was fitting to pass this onto others on Robynn's bday:) I couldn't agree more...

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask, "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi"?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

What a gorgeous reminder to slow down and remember what matters most.
Robynn, you were definately one of the things in life that mattered MOST!!!!
Love you!

One of our Best Soldiers aks for Army Goodell's Prayers

I am in tears as I copy and paste Sabrina's email that I just received. Sabrina has been one of the biggest supporters of Robynn's blog and always the 1st to pray for whomever that asks. Please surround her and Myron in prayer and love. We know through HIM all is possible and we are so powerful!

Here is what she wrote;

Good Evening~ I am coming to you with an urgent request for prayer. As you know Myron just completed his second round of tests for the CHP. Oddly, a couple of days after his lab work was done, we received a letter from the Dr. with some abnormal lab results. Myron's wbc count was low as well as his platelets. Myron heard from the background investigator who stated that the State Board was holding up his file due to this lab work and requested he have it redone ASAP. We received the letter yesterday and Myron went today to have it redone. We received a call from his Dr. about two hours ago and his results were worse than before. It also appears that his iron was low. The Dr. said she took a look at his blood under the scope and saw some odd shaped cells. She has ordered four more tests for tomorrow. After some heavy prodding from My, he finally acknowledged that she would like to rule out leukemia as well as lymphoma and one other thing he couldn't remember. Well, you all know me, I began my search and have been researching everything there is on line. What I came up with is this; WE NEED SOME IMMEDIATE HEAVY DUTY PRAYER. Whatever is going on with My needs to be removed! I am asking for a miracle and that his lab results come back clear. I have always been a believer that all things happen for a reason. I know now more than ever that my God is way BIGGER THAN ANY CANCER or infection. I am now asking that you join me and pray in agreement. . . Myron said he isn't going to worry about it. For all those who know him, isn't this typical "Myron form?" Not that I blame him. . . I wish I could be more like him. However, that's how he processes things.
I would ask that you not phone, text or email him yet. . . I don't want him to be upset. He doesn't know I am sending this right now. I will be sure to send out an update tomorrow, or as soon was we receive word back from the Dr. I love and appreciate all of you so very much.

Big hugs!
Good Night

BIG Robynn Hugs to YOU!!!!!!

Well, Miss Denise here's a brief update;)
Brady and Hailey are doing great! Brady is a reading machine and enjoyed an ice cream party for this last week. He is part of the Chess Club and is getting better and better. Tanner bought him a game set for Christmas and made SURE it had a Chess board:) I wish I could say he stays the nite with us often because he loves his Auntie, but the truth is, I think the draw is his cousin Tanner...

Miss Pea, aka Hailey Rae is as chatty and bubbly as ever! She too is thriving in school and for her 8th bday she got to go to San Fran and enjoy Wicked! She thought this play was THE GREATEST! Mimi and others joined in and made it even more special for our baby girl!

Brian continues to substitute teach for various high schools and enjoys it very much. There has been a total change in him since he started this. He has a gift and the kids seem to be giving right back to him:) Hooray! We spend lots of time together eating(our fams favorite past time) watching football and just hangin out.

As for me, I am embarking on a new and exciting journey. I started a class that will continue
for the next 8 Wednesdays. I have had meetings with Father Craig trying to figure out how to use what has happened to me, to benefit others. So I am getting trained for grief, trauma and crisis coaching. We don't have an exact plan, but this is where we are starting. I will have to look to the Lord for the steps to follow. Please keep me in your prayers as I am a little freaked out about the whole thing:) I am mostly thrilled, but it is a pretty heavy subject, that brings me back to moments with Miss Robynn and Kel that I haven't conquered emotionally yet.

A couple prayer requests;

Please pray for my mom and dad who have the ENORMOUS task of being in control of my 94 year old grandfathers care. He is not doing well and I know the stress of this is taking a toll on both of them.

Keep the Sacchini family in your prayers. They lost their teenage nephew to a terrible accident.

....don't forget Macy! She is home now, but not without some complications.

and Tracy, we are still praying for Suzanne!
